I bought these ear pods because the pods that came with my IPod Touch had lost the left channel. I needed something that could be carried in my pocket. I had tried an expensive pair from a big name speaker maker and was very dissapointed. I read reviews of the A151 and decided to give them a try. When I first listened to them, I thought they sounded like the old pod earphones except something was different. The bottom frequencies were actually being reproduced! Drum beats had that impact you hear with good wide range speakers only these are ear pods! I was pleasantly surprised at the bass response. The real test is to listen to Nelly Furtados' Say It Right. There is a very deep and strong bass all through the song. On the IPod phones all I heard was a noise not resembling a musical note. Same thing on my car radio but a little better. Those notes come through on my A151's!
When using these with an IPod Touch or IPhone, turn off the EQ in the music App. The equalizer muddies the sound.
I am very happy with them.
